This policy explains how TyingTheKnot.app uses cookies and similar technologies such as browser local storage, service-worker caches and third-party embeds. We keep our use of cookies to a minimum: alongside the strictly necessary cookies that keep you signed in, we use a small number of analytics and advertising cookies to understand how the site is used and to measure our advertising. Non-essential cookies are only set with your consent.
01Overview
The cookies we set fall into two groups: the strictly necessary cookies required for signing in and keeping your session secure, and optional analytics and advertising cookies that we only set once you consent. You can accept or refuse the optional cookies, and change your choice at any time.
02What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. Similar technologies include local storage (data saved by the site in your browser) and service-worker caches (files stored so the app can work offline).
03Cookies we set
These are first-party, strictly necessary cookies set by our authentication provider, Supabase, through our own domain. They are required for you to sign in and stay signed in. They are not used for tracking or advertising, and because they are strictly necessary they do not require consent under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR). Blocking them will prevent you from signing in.

04Analytics and advertising cookies
With your consent, we use the following optional cookies and similar technologies. They help us understand how many people visit the site, which pages are popular, and whether our advertising is working. This applies to our marketing, sign-in, dashboard and checkout pages — it does not apply to a couple’s public wedding app, where we do not run analytics or advertising cookies.

These cookies are set only after you accept them. If you refuse them, the site works exactly the same — we simply will not measure your visit. You can withdraw your consent at any time (see “Managing cookies” below).
05Local storage and offline cache
We use your browser's local storage and cache to make the app work smoothly. These are not cookies:

You can clear these at any time through your browser settings. Clearing them will not delete your account data, but may remove unsaved wizard progress and require the app to re-download content.
06Third-party resources and embeds
Some pages load resources from third parties. These providers may receive your IP address and may set their own cookies or similar technologies when loaded:

07What we do not use
- We do not sell or rent your personal data.
- We do not use cookies to make automated decisions that have a legal or similarly significant effect on you.
- We do not use any cookies or similar technologies beyond the strictly necessary, analytics and advertising cookies described above.
08Managing cookies
Non-essential (analytics and advertising) cookies are set only after you give consent, which you can give or refuse when you first visit the site. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the “Cookie settings” link in the footer of our site; if you withdraw consent, we stop using those cookies and remove the ones already set. You can also control and delete all cookies through your browser settings. If you block the strictly necessary sign-in cookies, you will not be able to sign in or use your wedding app.
09Changes to this policy
We may update this policy if our use of cookies changes. We will post the updated version here and revise the “Last updated” date.
